About Hurley J. Coleman III - HJC3

 

Bio 


Hurley J. Coleman III was born November 8, 1983 in Saginaw, MI to Hurley J. Coleman Jr., and Sandra M Coleman. He is the middle child of three children (Natoya & Tasha). Raised in Detroit, MI and graduated from Communications Media Arts High School in June 2001. Entered Bowling Green State University and graduated in August 2006 with a B.S. in Education with a concentration on Sport Administration. Min. Coleman was saved and accepted his call to ministry in January 2004 on the campus of BGSU. After graduating in August 2006, his pastor, Supt. H.J. Coleman Jr. presented him to the world as a minister at his first official message, entitled, “Disappointing Expectations”.

He began his graduate studies at Central Michigan University in the fall of 2007. In May 2009, he received his Masters in Administration. At the World Outreach Campus, he was hired as the Facility Manager for the church and has been an integral component in the leadership of our church. In 2009, he was voted in as the youngest Board of Trustee in the history of the church. He currently serves as the Saginaw county coordinator for Amachi Michigan, a youth mentoring program that serves children of incarcerated parents. He received seminary training from Liberty Theological Seminary studying for a Masters of Divinity as he prepares for a life of service for the kingdom of God. 

In 2012, Minister Coleman was appointed Youth Minister and overseer of all youth ministries for the World Outreach Campus and has continued to motivate, inspire, and capture the hearts of the youth within the walls of the church and beyond. Recently he joined the Executive Board for the Rock the Island Festival and plans to help generate fresh ideas and leadership for this event.


In 2016, He became an ordained Elder by Dr. HJ Coleman Jr. and appointed to Pastoral Assistant & Chief of Staff of the World Outreach Campus.

     

 Hurley III, affectionately known as "TJ" is an accomplished musician. His love for the bass guitar began when he was a sophomore in college at Bowling Green State University. He has had the privalege to play behind artists such as Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Karen Clark Sheard, Dorinda Clark Cole, Jonathan Nelson, Crystal Aiken, Bishop Hezekiah Walker, Jessica Reedy, J Moss, Michael Brooks, Lisa Page Brooks, Tasha Page Lockhart, Brian Carn, Earl Wright Jr., The late Rev. Timothy Wright, The late O'Landa Draper, Bishop Richard "Mr. Clean" White, Pastor Norman Hutchins, Bishop Marvin L. Winans, the late Ron Winans, Jonathan McRenolds, Zecardi Cotez, Jonathan Dunn, Marcus Cole, and many many more! He currently tours with Bishop Neal Roberson & the Family all across the nation. His God-given ability has led him to become a great minstrel after God's own heart. 


His favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Min. Coleman is married to Tanyika, and they have 3 children, A’niya, Emilio, and Hurley IV.
